This place, I took a spare the moment drive over the golden gate which was magical in itself, morning, day, evening, sunset, once over you enter a place of massive green and alive hills, it's what separates the hot and dry of the south bay area to the cold windy wilderness. At the end of the day I wanted to eat before heading back, this was the only place open late, near the hearts of Sausalito, when I arrived it is a perfect quiet little street, with romantic lights on the buildings, and sweet ginger a cute romantic dining spot. Roses on the little tables, a delicious wine selection, and artistically crafted sushi, this is a place, an quiet energy, a gentle chilly air that will make you feel you are in another country's small town, where you have taken your first love in life, when you were young and love was all you knew, all you wanted. This is a place that if you were to take a date to, no doubt that both of you will be so in love with that you will fall deeper in love with each other. A modern, smaller, Carmel by the sea. The hills are so close, even though you won't see many people late in the evening, you will feel the presence of families in the homes, the streets are very steep in the neighborhood. Not just a perfect date spot, this is where after your date here, you'll feel that you found the love of your life. Sweet sweet ginger, even now I can see the lights, the streets, the air, the cute little sushi restaurant. If a place can make you feel love, this one will, a lesser known place just over thunderous golden gate

This place has amazing food! The miso soup and chicken katsu are delicious!!! the only downside is that it is a small family run restaurant, so the service is slow, so if you are not in a hurry, it’s the perfect place. They also do take out

Sweet Ginger is the best place for sushi in Sausalito. Don’t be fooled by the over priced sushi neighbors down the street. Sweet Ginger has been a mainstay for 20 years and there is a reason why they are still around. Dine in or takeout, the quality is so consistent and impressive. The owners are behind the counter and on the floor every day. The quality of the fish is outstanding. It actually melts in our mouths it’s so good. If you’re wondering if you should go here or to Sushi Ran....run far away from Sushi Ran and into Sweet Ginger.
